Cypress Mountain opens early thanks to snowfall
Nov 8, 2011 - As icy conditions caused the Grouse Grind to be closed for the year Monday, ski resorts around Vancouver were looking forward to an early start to the season. The first to open is Cypress Mountain, which, banking on some early snowfall and 30 centimetres of man-made snow, is opening its ski runs today. According to its website, this is the earliest the resort has ever opened. read more
