Skier dies in accident at Belleayre
January 19, 2004 - Kingston Daily Freeman, NY - HIGHMOUNT - A Long Island teenager died Sunday afternoon after she crashed into trees at the bottom of a trail at Belleayre Mountain Ski Center. State police at Ulster said Nicole M. Biondo, 17, of Hauppauge, was skiing at about 3 p.m. on Belleayre Run Trail, a trail for skiers with intermediate-level skills, and was unable to stop at the end of the trail.  read more

It's snow time at local ski centers
November 11, 2003 - Kingston Daily Freeman, NY - Snow guns were blazing at Hunter and Windham mountains in Greene County and at the Belleayre Mountain Ski Center in Ulster County, where, without much notice, one trail was opened for business on Sunday. "A customer came in and said the skiing was wonderful," said Paul Zagkowski at Potter Brothers Ski Shop on state Route 28 in the town of Ulster.  read more
