March 01, 2010 - NEAR GREER, AZ (KOLD)- Sunrise Park Resort is celebrating its 40th anniversary this season but don't expect any parties on the mountain just yet. Having to close for over a week in January set the ski resort back financially.

over the holiday to do some skiing will have to go somewhere else
besides Flagstaff. Arizona Snowbowl officials say there is not enough
natural snow to even start adding artificial snow to open the slopes
this Christmas. Snowbowl officials hope Mother Nature will do its part
as a winter storm is expected to move across Arizona's high country now
through Christmas.
