Jan 7, 2004 - Quad-Cities Online, IL - ANDALUSIA -- Rosetta Opsal is in her element when downhill skiing. Tuesday, the 16-year-old United Township High School student was contemplating a third trip to Mt. Chesnut in Galena for the State Special Olympics Winter Games while awaiting the results from her division. She competed in the downhill and giant slalom in the district games at Ski Snowstar in Andalusia with more than 100 other athletes -- the largest turnout in the event's 22 years. read more
