area prepares to build much-debated lift
March 13, 2005 - Santa Fe New Mexican, NM - After more than 10 years of debate
concerning the environmental, religious and community impact, the Santa
Fe Ski Company is getting ready to install a new, mile-long lift over
Big Rocks to Deception Peak this summer.

Rock Ski Area to Run on Wind Power
September 24, 2004 - Snow Journal, ME - BANGOR,
Maine - The Maine Winter Sports Center and Evergreen Wind Power, LLC. ,
announced a partnership today that will allow Big Rock Ski Area to use
electricity generated from wind to operate all aspects of the ski area.
It is believed that this is the first partnership of it's kind between a
ski center and a commercial wind power operator.
