Ski racers face challenge of cold temperatures
Jan 30, 2004 - Duluth News Tribune, MN - The 20th Pepsi Challenge cross country ski race faces a cold-weather challenge Saturday morning at Giants Ridge near Biwabik. Temperatures are expected to reach 15 to 20 below zero tonight before moving slightly above zero Saturday morning. Race coordinator Deb Maki said a jury meeting at 6 p.m. today will determine start times for the event's five races. read more
