Resort investment and development to continue
Dec 7, 2003 - Charleston Sunday Gazette Mail, WV - It’s almost a cliché to say folks who haven’t visited Snowshoe ski resort in a few years won’t recognize the place. Indeed, the deep-pocketed Intrawest Corp. has virtually transformed the top of Snowshoe Mountain since it bought the resort from Tokyo Tower Development Corp. in 1995. Starting in 1998, the Vancouver-based company has created what it likes to call a village — about 350 condominiums and 40,000 square feet of shops and restaurants in three major buildings, plus an indoor swimming center called Split Rock Pools.
