January 27, 2010 - Clairese Snyder tried her 2-year-old legs at skiing this winter. Grandma Jonnie K. Smith joined Clairese on the slopes of Mission Ridge Ski and Board Resort and snapped photos as she went. “Dad and mom, having been ski racers themselves, are coaching her along,” Smith reported. Clairese lives in Quincy with her parents, Shad and Jennifer Snyder.

December 29, 2008 - WENATCHEE — The group of 13, mostly strangers, began their assent up the mountain at Mission Ridge Ski & Board Resort during the opening weekend of night skiing. Eleven signed up for the fourth annual twilight snowshoe event Saturday night with two guides leading the way. Only the crunching of snow underfoot could be heard above the screaming winds.
